Inter want Junior Firpo from Barcelona as part of a deal for Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Blaugrana club have been courting Lautaro for some time now and rather than pay his €111 million release clause, they want to do a player plus cash deal for him.

Inter have made it clear to Barcelona that they want Firpo, who the reigning La Liga champions value at somewhere between €35-40 million but Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta does not value him at any higher than €20 million.

The Dominican Republic born former Spain under 21 national team player has been with Barcelona since this past Summer and has a contract with them through to the end of the 2023/24 season.

This term the 23-year-old has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just shy of 1300 minutes, he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.
