Inter and Manchester United are working on extending the loan of Alexis Sanchez until the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Chilean national team player joined on a season long loan this past Summer and Inter are in talks with Manchester United over extending his loan until the end of this season, which has been extended due to the Coronavrius crisis.
The report continued that it cannot be excluded that Sanchez’ loan could be extended until the end of next season either but his salary is an issue.
Inter are not even paying as much as half of his wages and cannot afford to pay the entirety of his annual salary either therefore Sanchez may need to sacrifice some wages.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Sanchez may be given a rare opportunity to start in this weekend’s Serie A match at home to Sampdoria due to Lautaro Martinez’s bad form.
