Inter are set to offer Croatian international midfielder Marcelo Brozovic a new contract soon, according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The 27-year-old midfielder is currently under contract with the club through to the end of the 2021/22 season and the report explains that Inter want to extend his contract by a further season.

Inter are prepared to offer the Croatian national team player an increase to his annual €4.5 million salary and wish to remove the €60 million release clause in his current contract too. This in order not to risk losing Brozovic to Liverpool who have recently been linked with making a move for him.

The former Dinamo Zagreb player has been a key player for Inter for the past two and a bit seasons following a role change on the park and Inter appear set to reward him for his continued good performances with a new deal.

This season Brozovic has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 2800 minutes, he has scored three goals and tallied five assists.
