Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi has suggested that Inter may be a better team with Christian Eriksen in the side and Marcelo Brozovic not in the side.

Since being transformed into a regista under the management of Luciano Spalletti, Brozovic has been an integral part of Inter’s team and the Nerazzurri almost always struggle when he is absent.

However, his absence was barely noticeable in last night’s 2-1 win against Sampdoria in which Eriksen made his second consecutive start in his natural role of attacking midfielder.

“I would say that the insertion of Eriksen is going well…perhaps [Inter are] better without Brozovic,” Barzaghi posted to social media platform Twitter, an opinion that has certainly divided many people.

This season Brozovic has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has netted three goals and tallied five assists.

Since his arrival in the January transfer window, Eriksen has meanwhile made 10 appearances, in which he has scored two goals and has provided just as many assists for his teammates.
