Former Inter player Luis Jimenez has spoke on what it meant to him to be able to spend part of his career on the Nerazzurri’s books.
The Chilean, who is currently on the books of Primera Division de Chile Club Deportivo Palestino, spent three years with Inter between 2007 and 2010.
During his time with the club, he made just 29 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored four goals and provided two assists for his teammates.
“Playing for Inter was very important in my career. It was important for what the club meant and because it was a team with spectacular footballers, that is why getting to such a team was remarkable,” Jimenez remarked as part of an interview with South American broadcaster DirecTV Sports, earlier today local time.
Jimenez also reminisced about his time in Italy as a whole where he also had spells with Ternana, Fiorentina, Lazio, Parma and Cesena.
“I went to Europe very young, Italy changed me. The architecture is what impressed me most. I got to see buildings and monuments which I saw in school books. It was awesome and incredible for me.”
The now 36-year-old made a total of 202 appearances across all competitions between his spells with clubs in Italy. All in all the attacking midfielder scored 45 goals and he also provided his teammates with nine assists too.
