Ahead of tonight’s Premier League match with Sheffield United, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken on three players currently out on loan elsewhere including Alexis Sanchez, who is on loan at Inter.
Sanchez joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer from the Red Devils and the Norwegian manager has admitted that he hopes to see the Chilean’s loan extended with Inter as well as Chris Smalling’s loan at Roma and goalkeeper Dean Henderson’s at Sheffield United.
“Will the loans of Henderson, Sanchez and Smalling be extended? I think so but it’s a matter of administration and paperwork. Hopefully everything will work out,” he explained as part of his pre-match press conference.
Should an agreement be reached to extend Sanchez’s loan deal, it could well mean that Inter will have him available for the Europa League in August.
Since his arrival at the Nerazzurri, the former Barcelona and Arsenal attacker has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 600 minutes, he has scored one goal and provided three assists.
