Inter manager Antonio Conte has nothing other to aim for than the Europa League in the remainder of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The only way that the former Italian national team manager can redeem himself is by winning the Europa League. Whilst it is not the Champions League, it is still a trophy and if Inter win it it will be their first trophy in almost a decade.
By winning the Europa League, Inter would also be a first seed in next season’s Champions League draw meaning they may get an easier group than they have had in each of the last two seasons where they have been third and fourth seeds.
The report goes on to suggest that Inter are one of the favourites to win the Europa League, the remainder of which is to be contested in Germany in August.
