Inter have reached an agreement with Primavera player Niccolo Squizzato over a new contract with the club according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

The 18-year-old has agreed to a four year professional contract with the club which will run until the end of the 2023/24 season.

The Italian youth national team central midfielder has progressed through the ranks of Inter’s youth academy and has been playing at Primavera level since this past Summer.

This season Squizzato made 24 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just over 1400 minutes, he has failed to score any goals but has provided four assists for his teammates.

Squizzato is just the latest in a long line of young Inter players to be handed a new deal and is unlikely to be the last one either. Reports have suggested Inter are working on extending Lucien Agoume and Lorenzo Pirola’s deals and it has also been well documented that they are trying to tie Sebastiano Esposito down to a new deal too.
