Inter are looking to strengthen their left wing back position and are considering signing either Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri or Barcelona’s Junior Firpo, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have strengthened their right wing back position by signing Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid, and now need to strengthen the other side of the pitch. The 25-year-old Emerson is the top of Inter’s wish list, but dealing with Chelsea is difficult for the Nerazzurri, considering coach Antonio Conte’s history with the West London club.

This is why Inter are also still interested in Junior Firpo, the report continues. Inter have remained steadfast in asking for €111 million for Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez, but may allow Barcelona to include the Spanish full back in the deal. The 23-year-old has made 20 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in that time.
