Inter manager Antonio Conte is craving Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri as he eyes defensive reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.
Inter have wrapped up the signing of Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid and the Moroccan will be the starting right wing back with Antonio Candreva to be his backup.
As for the left hand side, Ashley Young has all the right qualities but is nearing the end of his career whilst Cristiano Biraghi may not be signed outright. Conte would like reunited with Emerson who would then become Inter’s starting left wing back.
The report goes on to add that Torino’s Armando Izzo is being evaluated as a potential reinforcement for central defence.
Inter are also looking to improve their attack and their first goal is to keep a hold of on loan Alexis Sanchez. Edin Dzeko, Edinson Cavani, Mattheus Cunha, Andrea Pinamonti are all also being considered as additions and the report also adds that Inter youngster Eddie Salcedo could be given a chance in the first team.
