Inter coach Antonio Conte wants to keep Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez and sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri coach wants to keep the 22-year-old Lautaro, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, and not sell him to Barcelona this summer.

So far, the Milanese club have remained strong in negotiations with the Blaugrana, and the Argentine striker staying suits Conte as it allows him to keep a core part of his tactical system.

The 50-year-old Italian coach also wants to sign Roma’s Dzeko, the report continues. The former Chelsea and Juventus boss is looking to strengthen the club’s attack and sign a strong backup for Romelu Lukaku.

The Bosnian striker also has experience winning and playing in the Champions League, important qualities for Conte. A possible deal will depend on how well Roma do in the Europa League this season.
