Inter have sparked an interest in signing Corinthians full back Carlos Augusto Zopolato Neves according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The player, who is also known as simply Carlos Augusto, has impressed Inter’s scouts with his performances for the São Paulo based club.
21-year-old Augusto, who was previously part of the Brazil under 20 national team, is primarily a left back but is also capable of playing at centre back if required.
Inter are not the only club to have an interest in him either with the report from the Milan based news outlet going on to explain that fellow Serie A side Fiorentina also like him very much.
Augusto has been a regular this season for Corinthians, who he is contracted to until the end of December 2021. This season he has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date and in just over 2000 minutes, he has scored a single goal.
