Juventus and Inter are set to fight for Roma forward Nicolo Zaniolo’s signature this summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how both clubs are keen to sign the 21-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to Roma until the end of June 2024. The Giallorossi value Zaniolo at €50 million, not an unrealistic sum considering the player’s potential as well as current performances.
Juventus may look to lower the price by including 22-year-old Argentine defender Cristian Romero, whilst Inter will get a 15% discount due to the fact that they included a percentage on a future resale in the Radja Nainggolan deal that saw Zaniolo leave the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2018.
Outside of Italy, Tottenham, Manchester United and Real Madrid are all interested in Zaniolo, the report continues, but it’s likely that the 21-year-old will stay in Italy next season as he looks to earn a place in the Italy squad for next summer’s European Championship.
