Inter have changed their perspective when it comes to signing Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri club had previously identified the Arsenal captain as a player capable of coming in and replacing Lautaro Martinez should he leave but they are now thinking about signing him to form the attacking department alongside Lautaro and Romelu Lukaku.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that should Inter bring Aubameyang to the club it would mean that they would not sign on loan Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United.
Aubameyang’s contract with the Premier League club is due to expire at the end of next season meaning Inter may be able to get him cheaper than his true value as Arsenal will wish to avoid losing him for nothing next Summer.
This season Aubameyang has made 41 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 25 goals and provided two assists.
