Nicolo Zaniolo staying with Roma seems the most plausible thing at the moment amid ongoing speculation regarding a move away from the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

In recent weeks, the highly rated Italian midfielder, who is valued at €70 million, has been linked with a potential return to Inter as well as possible moves to Juventus, Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur.

Talks over a new contract with the club are set to take place soon. Zaniolo, who is under contract with the Italian capital city club until 2024, earns €1.6 million a year and from September his salary will rise to €2.2 million thanks to bonuses but the goal is to reach €3 million a year, which is not impossible for the Giallorossi club to reach.

This season Zaniolo has made 29 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored eight goals and provided two assists.
