Inter could bring in Roma captain Edin Dzeko to be the back-up to Romelu Lukaku according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Giornale.

The Nerazzurri club are on the look out for an experienced player capable of being back-up to top goalscorer Lukaku and Dzeko could be the right man for that role.

Inter have been linked with Dzeko for a long time and tried to sign him last Summer too but Dzeko grew tired of waiting around and put pen to paper on a new deal with Roma, which recent reports in the media have suggested has become a bit of burden for them.

The report from Il Giornale goes on to state that whilst Inter could bring in an experienced head in Dzeko, they will let an inexperienced one in Sebastiano Esposito leave on loan.

The highly rated youngster has agreed to a new five year deal with the club and will be loaned out in order to gain experience and get regular first tream football.
