Lazio are refusing to give up in the race to sign Inter target Marash Kumbulla holding a meeting with Hellas Verona earlier today, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
The report details how the Biancocelesti and the Nerazzurri are both keen to sign the 20-year-old Albanian defender, who impressed in his debut season in Serie A.
Earlier tonight, the report continues, a few minutes before the Roman club’s league clash against the Gialloblu, Lazio sporting director Igli Tare spoke to Verona president Maurizio Setti, discussing Kumbulla.
Inter are thinking about signing Kumbulla before sending him back to Verona on loan next season, the report details, and the Nerazzurri haven’t managed to reach an agreement with the Veneto based club yet.
Kumbulla has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2078 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and helped the side keen seven clean sheets, impressing despite his young age.
