Inter have made contact with Parma striker Andreas Cornelius’s representatives according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Inter chief executiee Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are at work trying to find a striker who could complete the club’s attack next term and Danish national team forward Cornelius is on their radar.

Cornelius impressed Inter when the sides last met and he has the attributes that Inter manager Antonio Conte is looking for in a striker.

In the past few days the Nerazzurri club made contact with his entourage but any further talks have however been postponed for a few weeks though.

The report goes on to explain that any deal is unlikely to involve any great deal of effort seeing as Cornelius, if signed, would be fourth in the striker pecking order.

This season the 27-year-old, who is on loan at Parma from Atalanta with an obligation to buy, has scored 11 goals and tallied four assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.
