In addition to wanting to sign Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United, Inter want to sign Chris Smalling from them too according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Smalling is on loan at fellow Serie A side Roma and the English central defender has impressed Inter with his performances in the Italian capital city so much so that the Nerazzurri club have went so far as to make some enquiries about him.

Manchester United want €20 million for him and have already knocked back an offer from Roma to sign him on a permanent basis, with Roma’s offer understood to be worth €14 million.

Smalling, who has a contract with the Premier League club until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 35 appearances across all competitions whilst on loan at the Giallorossi. In just over 3000 minutes, Smalling has scored two goals and provided as many assists for his teammates.
