Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini On If Rajda Nainggolan Stays At Club: “It Is In Inter’s Hands”

Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has admitted that the club are yet to hold talks with Radja Nainggolan over a permanent return to the club.

After being judged as out of Inter’s project this past Summer, Inter shipped him out on loan to the Sardinian based Rossoblu club and Giulini has admitted that depending on Inter’s plans for the Belgian midfielder, they could hold talks with Inter over him.

“Can he stay in Cagliari? First of all he would need to want to stay at Cagliari, we still have to talk to him,”
Giulini explained in an interview with Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

“Everything is in Inter’s hands. He will return to Appiano Gentile and if Conte wants to keep him he will remain at the Nerazzurri, otherwise like last year we will talk about him again. Probably in September.”

Nainggolan joined Inter in the Summer of 2018 in a players plus cash deal from fellow Serie A side Roma on a four year contract but his future with the club is currently up in the air.

The former Piacenza player has reportedly been offered to Fiorentina and other reports have suggested Inter could try and use him as a bargainning chip in a deal for another player. Some have also suggested Inter could even reintegrate him into the first team picture.
