Barcelona have an interest in signing Inter central defender Alessandro Bastoni according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Don Balon.

Barcelona had shown an initial interest in signing Inter central defender Milan Skriniar as they look to bolster their defensive department but have since set their sights on Italian youth national team player Bastoni.

Bastoni being just 21-years-old, having plenty of room for growth and the maturity that he has shown during his breakthrough season at Inter are all understood to be reasons why Barcelona are keen on adding him to their ranks.

The report goes on to explain that Inter manager Antonio Conte does not want to lose Bastoni and does not want the club to listen to any offers that may arrive for Bastoni in the coming months.

This season Bastoni has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals.
