Barcelona have not given up in their pursuit of signing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Spanish broadcaster El Chiringuito, which was aired a short time ago.

Barcelona have been courting the Argentine player for a considerable amount of time and Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has promised that they will go back in for the 22-year-old after the Champions League is over.

The Blaugrana club already have an agreement in place with Lautaro with regard to personal terms but there is no agreement between the clubs.

The report also explains that Lautaro and Barcelona striker Luis Suarez’s futures are linked. The Uruguayan striker is seen as expendable by Barcelona and his sale will help them get Lautaro. There is ultimately only room for one of them at the club.

Suarez has been linked with a potential switch to MLS and his departure from the club could materialise in the coming weeks.
