Inter could acquire Cagliari goalkeeper Alessio Cragno in a player plus cash deal according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Cagliari want €25 million for the goalkeeper but Inter could offer Radja Nainggolan, who is currently on loan at the Sardinian club, to them on a permanent basis plus a sum of around €12 million.
Inter could however offer another player instead of the cash sum and the report explains that that player could be defender Diego Godin.
The stumbling block behind the deal is financial related as Nainggolan currently earns too much for Cagliari. There is an agreement in principle between Nainggolan and Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini however for the player to drop from €4 million a year to €3 million a year if he joins on a permanent basis.
Cagliari have not hidden their desire to keep a hold of Nainggolan, who has gotten his career back on track during the loan with him having scored six goals and provided seven assists.
