Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic would be a good match for Inter and coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system, but would only arrive should Milan Skriniar be sold, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the 22-year-old Serbian defender has impressed this season with Fiorentina, with the player’s potential clear and the fact that he is very comfortable in a three-man defence.

The Nerazzurri have asked his agent Fali Ramadani for information to understand his current situation, according to the report.

AC Milan are incredibly keen on the player, the report continues, and requests for information have come from Napoli, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United, with the English club even offering €30 million to the Viola last summer, which was promptly declined.

Rocco Commisso’s side value Milenkovic at €40 million and don’t want to consider player exchanges. The 22-year-old is still only an idea for Inter for now, as much depends on the future of both Conte and Skriniar, who would need to be sold in order to make space for Milenkovic.
