Inter do not want to spend any more than €20 million to sign Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri according to a report from the online edition of Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

Having reinforced at right-wing back with their acquistion of Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid, the Nerazzurri club wish to reinforce at left-wing back as well and are looking to Emerson to do that.

The Brazilian born Italian national team player would be more than happy to return to Italy after a few years in England as he feels he would have more of an opportunity to stand-out in order to keep his place in the Italian national team for the European Championship’s in the Summer of 2021.

Chelsea want €25 million for the former Roma player but as stated above Inter do not want to spend more than €20 million but the basis is there for there to be serious negotiations with Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta planning a trip to London after Inter’s Europa League commitments conclude.

Emerson Palmieri may not be the only player that Inter bring to the club from Chelsea either with Inter manager Antonio Conte crazy about Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante.

Due to their transfer business Chelsea need to make sales and value Kante in the region of €50-60 million. Inter deem this too much and could offer a player such as Ivan Perisic or Milan Skriniar to reduce the costs.

The report goes on to explain that the alternative to Kante is Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and any deal for Ndombele would also have to be done on the basis of a swap deal.
