Inter manager Antonio Conte has revealed that he is aware that his team will face difficult moments during tonight’s Europa League semi final clash with Shakhtar Donetsk.

The two sides are due to face off at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany, in a matter of hours and the winner of the tie will come up against Spanish side Sevilla in the Europa League final on Friday night.

“We need to know that there will be pain and grit. There will be difficult times but we must not lose our bearings, we have our weapons and we want to put them into practice.

“As I always say, may the best team win,” he explained in an interview with Inter’s official club broadcaster Inter TV earlier on today.

Inter head into this game having beaten Bayer Leverkusen in the previous round whilst Shakhtar Donetsk beat FC Basel 4-1 to make it to this stage.

Tonight’s match will be the third time that the clubs have met in history with the previous two meetings coming back in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League way back in 2005/06. Inter won the tie 3-1 on aggregate against the Ukraianian giants.
