Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and Roma’s Edin Dzeko are Inter manager Antonio Conte’s top two transfer targets ahead of the upcoming transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte previously worked successfully with Kante at Chelsea and the report explains that due to Frank Lampard’s desire for revolution and Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s desire to rejuvenate the squad, Kante could be allowed to depart the Premier League club in the not so distant future.

As for Dzeko, the report from the Milan based news outlet states that he is a long term target of former Italian national team boss Conte.

Conte wanted Roma captain Dzeko brought to Inter last Summer and Inter will try again. Roma could be willing to let him go given their need to reduce their wage bill, which Dzeko sits right at the top of as the club’s highest paid player.
