Inter Looking At Roma’s Edin Dzeko & Genoa’s Andrea Pinamonti For 4th Striker Role In Squad

Despite the permanent signing of Alexis Sanchez, Inter’s attack for the coming season is not complete and they still need to add a fourth choice striking option according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

As things stand, there are currently two candidates that Inter have in mind for this role with those players being Roma captain Edin Dzeko and Genoa’s Andrea Pinamonti, two players who are at the opposite ends of their playing careers.

Dzeko is a far more experienced player than Pinamonti with him being 34-years-old whilst Pinamonti is just 21-years-old.

Dzeko is currently Roma’s highest earner and will likely command a higher salary than Pinamonti would to return to Inter, who have a gentleman’s agreement with Genoa which enables them to re-sign him after selling him to them last Summer.

Dzeko scored 19 goals and tallied 14 assists in the 2019/20 season whilst Pinamonti scored seven goals and provided three assists.
