Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is on Real Madrid’s list of potential replacements for Karim Benzema according to a report from French news outlet Le10Sport.com.
With Benzema now getting on a bit in terms of age and Luka Jovic failing to convince in his first season with the club, Los Blancos are on the lookout for a new striker who can lead the line for them for the coming years.
Lukaku, who only joined Inter ahead of this season, is joined on Real Madrid’s shortlist by Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, Liverpool’s Sadio Mane and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland. As things stand, signing Mbappe and Haaland is a priority for the La Liga champions, the report explains.
In his debut campaign with Inter, Lukaku has scored a sensation 33 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions and he requires just one more goal to match the tally that the legendary Ronaldo managed in his first season with the club back in 1997/98.
