Inter wing-back Danilo D’Ambrosio has shared his excitement ahead of Inter’s upcoming Europa League final clash with Sevilla tomorrow night.

“I’m certainly thrilled when we reached our goal [of getting to the final of the Europa League], then I’m very excited like the whole team,” he began an interview with Inter Club fans from around the globe as part of Inter TV show ‘Inter Calling’, which was aired a short time ago and also shared on the club’s official Twitter feed.

The Italian then went on to sing the praises of his teammates and how teamwork has got Inter as far as they have got this season.

“The goal was achieved thanks to great teamwork, you don’t get to this point with only contribution from individuals. The whole team is doing it. We are living in a positive way, now we have to reach the maximum.”

In conclusion the former Torino player, who is also capable of playing at centre back, spoke on how much he is missing playing matches without having fans in the stands to cheer him and his teammates on.

“A lot. The whole team thinks this. We talked about it at the beginning when it was much stranger. The support of the fans is something which football is not good without. We hope that this period can pass to hear you all again.”

This season D’Ambrosio, who joined Inter in January 2014 and is under contract until the end of the coming season, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals.
