Antonio Conte has the chance to remove the tag of being a failure in Europe in tomorrow night’s Europa League final according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Whilst recognised as a fine manager, Conte has always struggled to have success on the European stage and has developed a reputation for failing when playing in European club competitions.
Conte could win his first European competition as a manager tomorrow night and it would also be the first trophy of Inter owners Suning’s tenure in charge of the club, which began back in the Summer of 2016.
The report goes on to explain that a Europa League win will be worth a lot of money to Inter. Inter’s total revenues for participation in European competitions will exceed the €60 million mark if they are to win.
Inter will get €4 million if they win the Europa League and will get a further €3.5 million because winning will mean they qualify for the UEFA Super Cup.
