Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is among newly appointed Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman’s list of transfer targets according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet AS.
Barcelona have been courting the 22-year-old Argentine national team player for a considerable amount of time and their interest has been maintained despite them parting ways with Quique Setien and replacing him with Koeman.
Inter and Barcelona have held talks over him but talks are currently on standby. Depending on how Lautaro performs in tomorrow night’s Europa League final his transfer value could sky rocket and end up becoming unaffordable for Barcelona, who are experiencing great financial difficulty at the moment.
This season Lautaro, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 48 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 3500 minutes, he has scored 21 goals and provided seven assists.
