Inter remembered the life of Nerazzurri legend Giuseppe Meazza on the 110th anniversary of his birth in a report on their official website yesterday.

The report details how the Italian was born in the Lombardy capital in 1910, joining the Nerazzurri in 1927. He spent the next 13 years of his career with the Milanese club and was known for being unstoppable on the pitch, lethal both with his left and right foot and playing ahead of his time. He made 382 appearances for the Milanese club across all competitions, scoring 253 goals in that time. He was captain of the club for nine years and won three league titles and one Coppa Italia with the Nerazzurri.

Meazza also won two World Cups with Italy in that time, the report continues, and the San Siro stadium was officially renamed after him in 1980, a year after his death. He joined the club’s Hall of Fame in 2019, together with legends Ronaldo and Diego Milito.
