Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini On Radja Nainggolan: “He Wants To Stay, Inter Must Meet Us In The Middle”

Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini has revealed that he, manager Eusebio Di Francesco and Radja Nainggolan all share a desire to continue on together.

Nainggolan spent the recently concluded 2019/20 season on loan at the Sardinia based club from Inter and the loan deal is due to expire at the end of today.

In an interview with Italian daily newspaper L’Unione Sarda, which appeared in today’s print edition, Giulini shared the club’s intention to keep a hold of the Belgian midfielder and revealed what Inter will need to do to enable them to keep Nainggolan at the club.

“The player, the coach and me all want him to stay. It all depends on our meeting with Inter, they will have to meet us in the middle. We would like to resolve this situation as soon as possible,” he explained.

During his loan spell with the Rossoblu club, Nainggolan, who has just under two years left to run on his deal with Inter, made 29 appearances across all competitions.

In just under 2300 minutes on the park, the 32-year-old, who joined Inter from Roma in 2018, scored six goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.
