Italian Media Report Hard For Cagliari To Secure New Loan Deal For Inter Midfielder Radja Nainggolan

Negotiations between Inter and Cagliari over Radja Nainggolan are underway according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Nainggolan spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Cagliari and Cagliari have not hidden their desire to keep him with the club and their new manager Eusebio Di Francesco would also like to work with Nainggolan again.

Cagliari hope to be able to secure a new loan deal for the Belgian central midfielder but it will not be easy for another loan to be agreed as Inter must make money on Nainggolan, who is entering into the second last year of his contract with the club and will soon turn 33-years-old.

It is therefore hard for Cagliari to get a new loan deal for Nainggolan, even if it seems that the former Roma player will not have much space at Inter, especially given their aims of signing Arturo Vidal and N’Golo Kante to bolster the midfield.
