Daniele Padelli will sign a one year contract extension with Inter in the coming days according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
Padelli’s contract expired with the club yesterday after a short term extension following the prolongment of the 2019/20 season due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and in the coming days he will sign a deal that will keep him at the club until the end of the upcoming season.
Padelli’s role at the club will also change. Since arriving from Torino Padelli has always served as the back-up goalkeeper to Samir Handanovic but from this coming season he will be the third choice goalkeeper in Antonio Conte’s squad.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 on a free transfer and he has since represented the club on eight occasions across all competitions. He has conceded eight goals when he has played and has also kept three clean sheets.
