Bayern Munich will not be signing Ivan Perisic on a permanent basis accordig to their manager Hans-Dieter ‘Hansi’ Flick.

Perisic spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Bayern and played a part in them winning a treble consisting of the Bundesliga title, DFB Pokal and the Champions League.

Bayern Munich had an option to sign him up on a permanent basis but passed up on the opportunity. Despite them doing so, various reports had stated that they still had an interest in signing him permanently provided they did not need to pay much over €10 million for him.

“It has been decided that we will no longer continue with the three players [Perisic, Philippe Coutinho, Alvaro Odriozola],” Flick explained to the gathered media today at the presentation of the trophies won last season at the Bayern Munich museum.

During his loan spell with the Bavaria based club, former Borussia Dortmund man Perisic made 35 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored eight goals and provided a total of 10 assists for his teammates.
