Napoli have an interest in signing Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired late last night.
Napoli have been in touch with intermediaries over the Brazilian born Italia national team player and only have an interest in signing him on a loan basis and if Faouzi Ghoulam is to leave the club.
Should Ghoulam leave, Napoli could make a move to sign the former Roma wing-back, who has also drawn strong links over a move to Inter in recent weeks and months.
Many reports have stated that Emerson is Inter manager Antonio Conte’s top target for left wing-back and some reports have stated that Chelsea want in the region of €30 million for him.
During the 2019/20 season, the 26-year-old, who is contracted to Chelsea until 2022, made 21 appearances across all competitions. In his time on the park, which totalled just over 1500 minutes, he provided a single assist for his teammates.
