Inter Linked Arturo Vidal Gave Up Final Year Of Wages At Barcelona In Exchange For Bonuses Owed Italian Media Claim

Inter bound Arturo Vidal gave up on the last year of wages owed in exchange for previously unpaid add-ons in his contract termination agreement with Barcelona, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder is set to join the Nerazzurri to work with coach Antonio Conte after terminating his contract with the Blaugrana a year early, after being told that he was no longer involved in the club’s project.

In order to better facilitate his exit from Catalonia, Vidal agreed to give up on the last year of his wages, around €6.5 million, in exchange for the previously unpaid add-ons, worth €2-3 million.

Barcelona want Inter to pay a small symbolic fee for Vidal, the report continues, but the Nerazzurri aren’t interested.

It’s likely that Vidal will finalise his deal with Barcelona and head to Milan over the next couple of days.
