Inter first team technical manager Gabriele ‘Lele’ Oriali has insisted that Inter will do everything in their power to be a hinderance to Juventus in the fast approaching 2020/21 season.
Inter ran their arch rivals extremely close last season in Serie A with them missing out on the Serie A title by just a single point in the end.
Inter are heading into the second year of their project under manager Antonio Conte and as a result of last season’s achievements there is a real expection for Inter to go on and really challenge for silverware and possibly pick some up for the first time in almost a decade.
“I think it was an extraordinary season, one that went beyond expectations. In defeats like the one against Sevilla you learn even more than when you win.
“We will come back trying to do the best we can to completely prevent those who have been dominating for years in Italy,” he explained to the gathered media at last night’s Giacinto Facchetti Awards 2020 ceremony.
Oriali formerly played for Inter between 1970 and 1983 and between 1999 and 2010 he served as the Nerazzurri club’s sporting director. Oriali returned to the club in his current role last Summer when he followed Conte into the club.
