Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini discussed Inter’s transfer market moves, their work to sign a new left wing back and the situation surrounding talent Sebastiano Esposito in an editorial for Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.

“Even Inter have yet to complete their squad. Given the arrival of Vidal, the midfield is full.”

He highlighted how the Milanese squad’s biggest weakness is currently their left wing back role, which is being filled by either Dalbert or Ashley Young.

“A piece that the Nerazzurri have to fix is the left wing back role. Dalbert remains the starter but there is still no concrete offers for him.

“As soon as something changes, Inter will try to convince Chelsea to sell one of Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso.”

The Italian journalist suggested that the idea of signing the 29-year-old Alonso is more realistic than the former Roma man.

“The former Fiorentina player has been wanting to return to Italy for some time and at the moment he remains the most concrete idea.”

Finally, Ceccarini discussed Inter’s ideas regarding the fourth choice forward and what will happen to the 18-year-old Esposito.

“For the role of fourth striker there’s Pinamonti. Sebastiano Esposito instead will not stay. For him there is a lot of clubs to choose from but currently SPAL have the advantage.”

The Nerazzurri are working hard to strengthen the squad ahead of the closure of the transfer window on the 5th October.

Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal is expected to sign for the club from Barcelona over the next few days, an important acquisition for coach Antonio Conte, who has long wanted the 33-year-old former Juventus midfielder.
