Inter president Steven Zhang has been hit with a fine for how he described Lega Serie A president Paolo Dal Pino for his handling of the postponement of the 2019/20 Serie A season following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Back in March when the season was put on hold due to the outbreak, Zhang took to social media platform Instagram to share his views and in doing so he called Dal Pino a clown for the way he acted
As per the press release from the Italian football federation, FIGC, Zhang has been fined a total of €8000. Inter as a club have also receieved a fine of €5000.
Zhang is the youngest president in Inter history and has been president of the club since October 2018. He arrived at Inter back in 2016 when Chinese e-commerce giants Suning, who are run by his father Jindong Zhang, purchased the Nerazzurri club from Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir.
