Inter and Cagliari are in negotiations over central midfielder Radja Nainggolan according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
Nainggolan spent last season on loan at the Rossoblu club and the two clubs are working on a deal that would have a total cost of €12 million.
The deal could be done on the basis of a loan with obligation to buy. The loan would cost €3 million and Cagliari would be obliged to pay €9 million to sign him outright at the end of the 2020/21 season.
The report goes on to explain that Nainggolan’s agent Alessandro Beltrami is at work trying to come up with a solution with regard to his wages, which have always represented a problem for Cagliari. Cagliari are in fact thinking of offering Nainggolan a four year deal and spreading the cost of his current wages across that period.
Nainggolan joined Inter in 2018 and has seven goals and three assists in 36 appearances for the club.
