Inter have knocked back the chance to sign Torino’s Armando Izzo for €20 million according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio met with his Torino counterpart Davide Vagnati to hold talks over former Genoa player Izzo and Torino firstly demanded €25 million before chopping €5 million off their asking price. Even though they did this, Inter still said no.
The report from the Turin based news outlet explains that part of the reason behind Inter saying no was due to the fact that Izzo has not given the necessary guarantees when it comes to his performances, even if he is a player that Inter manager Antonio Conte likes.
Another reason behind Inter saying no is due to Izzo’s inability to play in a back four as evidenced by his poor showing when deployed as a right back in a back four against Fiorentina.
