AC Milan director Paolo Maldini has shared his belief that Inter have reduced the gap between themselves and Juventus.
Inter narrowly missed out on winning the Serie A title last season as they finished just a single point behind their arch rivals and the Nerazzurri club have went about adding several players to their ranks in order to improve their squad and chances of having success.
Inter have signed Achraf Hakimi, Aleksandar Kolarov and most recently Arturo Vidal and are reportedly not done there either with reports continuing to state that Inter want Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante and will sign Parma’s Matteo Darmian.
“Juventus are naturally the favourites, but Inter seem to have reduced the gap. I must say that Napoli also have a very strong and very technical structure,” Maldini explained in an interview with Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
Juventus, who have won the last nine Serie A titles, made a winning start to their 2020/21 campaign this past weekend as they ran out 3-0 winners over Sampdoria.
Inter will meanwhile start their Serie A campaign this weekend at home to Fiorentina.
