Atalanta wing-back Robin Gosens has shared his belief that Juventus and Inter are the favourites to win this season’s Serie A title.
Juventus are on a title winning streak that has lasted nine seasons whilst Inter are on the hunt for their first Serie A title since the 2009/10 season and are in the best position since winning their last title to go on and win another.
Last season Juventus pipped Inter to the Serie A title by just a single point and the general feeling is that the two arch rivals will go head to head with one another until the very end of the season.
“Juve and Inter are the favourites. Inter maybe even a little more so than the Bianconeri,” Gosens, who has drawn links to both clubs, explained to German news outlet Spox.com.
He then discussed the different situations of both of the clubs.
“Inter will attack more after losing the Europa League final. They have bought well and are always on the hunt for titles. Juve are an unknown. It depends on whether Pirlo will amaze with his new system and his idea of playing football. I’m very curious.”
The 26-year-old German, who has been with his current employers since the Summer of 2017 went on to conclude the interview by adding: “In general, there are many teams that want and can aspire to finish top of the table.”
