A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport criticised Inter’s performance in their 4-3 win over Fiorentina yesterday.

The report details how yesterday’s exciting comeback win over the Viola was a game full of errors, with many imbalances visible.

Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen started in the trequartista role and again disappointed, seemingly invisible until he was brought off by coach Antonio Conte in the second half.

The coach’s decision to switch to a four-man defense near the end of the game proved successful, however, showing that sometimes the extra man makes a difference.

The final indication given by the Nerazzurri yesterday is that there are many quality players in the squad, but there are imbalances in regards to their position, with too many midfielders and not enough defenders.

Inter’s next game is against newly promoted side Benevento on Wednesday, before facing title rivals Lazio next weekend.
