Italian journalist Luigi Garlando discussed Inter’s thrilling 4-3 comeback win over Fiorentina on Saturday night in an editorial in yesterday’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Like when Martins, Vieri and Recoba overturned Samp at the end. Conte was resigned.
“Insanity is something too innate to Inter’s soul. Instead of removing it, as you claim, you make friends with it and use it as you did yesterday to emerge from an almost lost game.”
He highlighted how Inter coach Antonio Conte will need to experiment to find a strong tactical identity before the season progresses too far.
“Conte will have to produce order and logic as soon as possible. The non-existent pre-season did not help him.
“He will have to experiment and decide whilst earning points. But it is only with a strong tactical identity that you will get far. Madness is not enough.”
The Nerazzurri got off to a bad start against the Florence based club, conceding an early goal only minutes into the game.
Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez, who has been at the centre of a transfer market saga involving Barcelona, levelled out the game moments before half time with a curling long range effort.
An exhilarating second half followed, which ended with two late goals from the Milanese club to secure the three points.
Inter’s next game is against newly promoted side Benevento on Wednesday evening before facing title contenders Lazio next weekend.
Inter are still working to achieve their transfer market objectives before the closure of the window on October 5th.
