Italian Journalist Matteo Barzaghi: “Alexis Sanchez Could Start For Inter Against Benevento”

Inter attacker Alexis Sanchez could be handed a start in Wednesday night’s match away to Benevento according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist Matteo Barzaghi.

Sanchez started Saturday’s 4-3 win over Fiorentina on the bench but came off the bench and made a positive impact with him helping Inter to score twice late on to start their 2020/21 Serie A campaign with a victory.

“Sanchez is doing very well and has shown it. One between Lukaku and Lautaro could rest against Benevento and the Chilean would be ready to replace them. In the match against Fiorentina he came off the bench and assisted D’Ambrosio’s goal which made it 4-3,” Barzaghi explained whilst present in the studios of Sky Sport Italia earlier on today.

Barzaghi proceeded to share his thoughts on what he thinks Inter’s midfield department would have if Radja Nainggolan ends up staying with the club rather than leaving amid strong links over a return to Cagliari, where he spent last season on loan.

“When he and Vidal came on to give strength in the middle of the park, the midfield department changed and improved in terms of competitive malice and charisma.”

Next Barzaghi spoke briefly on Milan Skriniar and shared his belief that despite his struggles in a three at the back system, he still remains a good player: “Even if he didn’t feel good in the three-man defence he is very strong.”
