Negotiations between Inter and Cagliari over Radja Nainggolan are at a stalemate according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter are continuing to reject Cagliari’s offers and are continuing to demand at least €9 million for the Belgian central midfielder, who would only be willing to leave Inter in order to return to Cagliari.

At the moment Cagliari do not have the resources to meet Inter’s demands and would like to bring Nainggolan to the club in a similar manner to how they brought Diego Godin to the club.

In order for this to happen, Nainggolan would need to terminate his contract and receieve a severance pay from Inter and Cagliari would be willing to give him at least a two year deal.

By offloading Nainggolan, the report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that Inter would make a real saving as they would save around €9 million alone from offloading his salary and also avoid paying Nainggolan any add-ons he could potentially earn.
